Job Details:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Millwright to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring our production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. You'll work closely with team members to meet departmental goals and uphold SOPs and regulatory standards.
Compensation: $40.50/hour (unlicensed) to $50.50/hour (licensed)
Work Schedule: Day or Night (includes $2.00/hour night premium)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety protocols, including LOTO procedures.
- Assemble and install equipment using hand/power tools.
- Perform additional duties as needed to meet operational demands.
- Inspect equipment to identify irregularities and perform corrective actions.
- Operate lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment to fabricate parts.
- Complete work orders by preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Support production teams during runtime to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems.
- Read equipment manuals and blueprints to perform installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Availability for weekends and overtime.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ticketed or Apprenticeship Level (3-4) in the Millwright trade.
- Skilled in lathes, milling machines, and welding (ARC, TIG, MIG)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in high-speed manufacturing (food industry preferred)
Preferred Assets:
- Food manufacturing experience.
- Electrical knowledge.
