Our operation manufactures and sells concrete and asphalt, and installs asphalt for all applications, including major roadway development, industrial applications, parking lots, driveways and more. Currently the asphalt and concrete plants are operational and are serving a growing customer base.

Our General Manager is responsible for the overall management of the operation, the efficient production of concrete and asphalt, cost and employee management, safety and community relations. As our General Manager, you will take pride in building processes and plans that position United Concrete and Asphalt for growth, while providing superior customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Meeting production deliverables and timelines
- Communicating with clients and delivering on agreed upon timelines and deliverables
- Managing and coordinating production, storage and general distribution of asphalt and concrete
- Developing and executing plans to ensure efficient use of materials and equipment
- Developing and monitoring processes to meet and exceed production and sales goals
- Ensuring quality control standards are met for all products
- Optimizing productivity and minimizing costs
- Recruiting and training employees
- Managing employee performance
- Ensuring the implementation and compliance of health and safety standards
- Supervising hourly workforce and maintaining a high level of employee morale
- Completing required paperwork (reports, forms, letters, etc.)
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve operations and customer satisfaction
- Ensuring plant is well maintained
- Other duties, as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in related sector or relevant experience
- Previous experience in plant management, concrete/construction industry, or in a supervisory role is an asset
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate team members
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the desire to seek solutions
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to travel within the area regularly is required
