Millwright (Onsite)

Our client is looking for a certified Millwright to join their Vancouver-based seafood processing facility. This hands-on role is ideal for mechanically skilled professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy solving complex equipment challenges to support global operations.

Your main responsibility is to eliminate downtime of production and delivery so the company can continue to grow and deliver premium products to customers around the world.

Location: Metro Vancouver Regional District, BC must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting.

Work Schedule: Flexibility to work Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday (8-hour shifts)

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair production, utility, and processing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on machinery including:
• Ice machines
• Freezer systems
• Dock cranes
• Cooled production areas
• Fish unloading and delivery systems
• Weld and fabricate custom parts as needed.
• Train plant staff on new equipment and document maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with Operating Engineers to ensure equipment is safe and efficient.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns (some overtime may be required).

Qualifications:

• BC Trade qualification as a Millwright (Red Seal certified in British Columbia)
• 2+ years of direct experience in mechanical maintenance or repair.
• Experience with pressure equipment (boilers, cooling systems, refrigeration)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Background in food processing, fishing, or manufacturing is a plus.
