Project Architect, OAA, Secret Clearance
Location: North York, ONOn Site 5 days a week.

Our client is seeking an accomplished Project Architect, OAA to lead the design and delivery of complex, large-scale projects within Canadas architectural landscape. This role calls for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of local building standards and extensive experience guiding diverse project types through all phases. Our client is looking for a Senior Architect to join their team on a landmark project in Toronto a rare opportunity to help shape one of the city's most high-profile and architecturally significant developments.

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of professional architectural experience in Canada
    This is a mandatory requirement due to the security clearance needed for our projects. The clearance process includes a 10-year residency/work history check within Canada.
  • Extensive experience in the design and coordination of complex building typologies (e.g., healthcare, institutional, transportation, industrial or large-scale mixed-use projects).
    Experience limited to single-family homes will not be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes, regulations, and local permitting processes.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through design development, construction documentation, and contract administration.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead architectural design and documentation for large-scale, technically complex projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure design integrity and project success.
  • Oversee the integration of technical, regulatory, and functional requirements into design solutions.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Licensed Architect in a Canadian province.
  • Proficiency in Revit and other industry-standard design tools.
  • Experience with security-cleared or government-related projects is an asset.

Salary expectations: $110,000-$125,000 depending on experience
