The Club is looking for a qualified and passionate individual to fill the role of Group Sales Account Executive for our ticketing department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Group & Youth Soccer Sales, the successful candidate will be responsible for generating new revenue through increasing group sales, with a primary focus on corporate clients, schools and community groups in addition to youth soccer and other Whitecaps ticket product offerings. The successful candidate will provide a high level of customer service while building relationships with clients and community organizations and achieving sales targets.
How you will contribute:
- Directly contribute to increasing revenue through lead generation and qualifying prospects, meeting or exceeding all revenue targets as assigned
- Expand and develop Whitecaps FC corporate book of business
- Assist in the development and execution of fundraising and school programs
- Expand and develop Whitecaps FC youth soccer ticketing program (Kickin With the Caps)
- Assist and participate in partial and full season membership sales campaigns
- Assist and participate in premium and suite sales campaigns
- Develop and maintain relationships through excellent customer service
- Effective communication of service policies/procedures to Ticket Members and other clients in a professional manner
- Maintain computerized records of all clients and prospects via ticketing software
- Assist with Game Day duties and provide support during special events and promotions, including supervision and coordination of large groups or both youth and adults
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 1-3 years proven sales or service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Strong understanding of effective sales processes, from first engagement to close of sale
- Ability to lead engage and organise large groups of youth and adults while maintaining a safe environment.
- Strong time-management, attention to detail and organizational skills (multi-tasking a must!)
- Related diploma or degree preferred, but combination of education/experience will be considered
- Flexibility to work BC Place match days & other special events as needed on evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom)
