Lead where care, consistency, and teamwork come together!

Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet, BC is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor to help lead our hardworking and dedicated housekeeping team.

Located on the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island, Black Rock Oceanfront Resort offers the chance to work in one of BCs most breathtaking natural settings, surrounded by ocean views, coastal rainforest, and the small-town charm of Ucluelet. This is an opportunity to build your career in a place where nature and hospitality meet.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that supports day-to-day operations and upholds the high standards that define a Black Rock Oceanfront Resort guest experience. You will work closely with our broader leadership team to help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

While some opening and closing duties require desk time, most of your day will be spent on the floor, checking rooms, mentoring Room Attendants, and spotting and solving problems as they come up. We are looking for someone with initiative, energy, and a deep respect for the role housekeeping plays in the guest experience.

Youre a great fit if you:

  • Stay calm and focused in a busy environment
  • Take pride in leading by example
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully
  • Enjoy mentoring others and helping them succeed
  • Have a sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Thrive in a team environment and take ownership of your work

What Youll Do:

  • Assign rooms and common areas to Room Attendants
  • Conduct walk-throughs and inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness meets resort standards
  • Help open and close daily housekeeping operations
  • Support and train new and existing team members
  • Communicate effectively with laundry and other departments
  • Monitor supplies, safety protocols, and equipment use
  • Support a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture

What You Bring:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality leadership
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong English language skills

Wage and Benefits:

  • Low-cost, on-site staff accommodation (if required and available)
  • Associate rates for hotel stays
  • Extended health, dental, and life insurance (after benefits eligibility waiting period)
  • Volunteer support opportunities
  • Team enrichment events
  • A respectful, inclusive, and sustainability-minded workplace
  • Opportunities for advancement within the resort

This posting outlines the core responsibilities of the role. Team members may occasionally be asked to step outside their core responsibilities to support day-to-day resort operations. A flexible, can-do attitude is key.

Black Rock Oceanfront Resort resides within the Yuuuiat Ucluelet First Nation traditional territory, of whose ancestral lands we work and play.
