As a Child and Youth Facilitator, you play a crucial role in delivering innovative and transformative programs that empower young people to thrive. This role reports to the Supervisor, Child and Youth Program and works closely with children, youth, and their families, providing evidence-based support and fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
This role involves program implementation service delivery, community engagement, and continuous professional development. You are instrumental in creating and implementing activities that promote healthy development, resilience, and well-being among children and youth.
This full-time, 37.5 hr/week position is Monday-Friday and requires occasional evening hours to meet client needs. This role is based in an open-space office and may be eligible for a hybrid arrangement with supervisors' approval.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work with the Supervisor, Child and Youth Programs and team members to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs focused on child and youth development.
- Facilitate individual coaching, group sessions, and workshops for children, youth, and parents, including but not limited to Mindful Moments, Here for Youth, Healthy Relationships, and Early Talks.
- Collaborate with community agencies and advocate for families' needs.
- Engage with community stakeholders and attend relevant meetings and events.
- Support social inclusion by improving family functioning through skill-building activities.
- Develop and deliver early learning programs that meet children's diverse needs.
- Build relationships with families and provide individualized support.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, child-centered group activities.
- Complete and maintain accurate client documentation and reports.
- Prepare and organize materials for sessions, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Support capacity building in community settings and facilitate educational activities.
- Contribute innovative ideas for program improvement.
- Work closely with the Supervisor of the Child and Youth Program in the evaluation of all activities and program components.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support, collect feedback, and make sure all program activities are supported.
- Continually ensure the Child and Youth Program is aligned with YW Framework, best practices, evidence-based approaches, and organizational goals.
- Monitor program outcomes and make data-driven decisions to improve effectiveness and impact.
- Positive Representation: Represent the organization enthusiastically in community forums and partnerships focused on child and youth development.
- Promote Programs: Increase awareness of our programs through outreach and public relations, highlighting their positive impact.
- Champion equity, diversity, and inclusion in the team's culture and dynamics and within the organization.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in child development, education, social work, or a related field.
- Current CPR/ First Aid Certification.
- Brain Story Certificate
- Strong computer literacy including MS Office Suite, able to learn additional software quickly and effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to enable the completion of documentation.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program delivery, preferably in the field of child and youth development.
- Strong knowledge of child and youth development theories, best practices, and evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including community partners.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a passion for advocating for marginalized and underserved populations.
