Do you have a passion for executing memorable events and leading service teams to excellence? Silvertip Resort is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Banquet Manager to oversee the coordination and execution of all banquet functions and events.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Banquet Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of all banquet operations, including corporate functions, weddings, meetings, and other private events. This role involves managing a team of banquet staff, ensuring seamless event execution, maintaining high service standards, and contributing to departmental planning and success.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day banquet operations and execution of all scheduled events
Lead, train, and motivate banquet staff to deliver exceptional service standards
Coordinate with the Sales and Events team to ensure all event details are clearly communicated and executed
Ensure all banquet setups, service, and teardowns meet guest expectations and company standards
Schedule and manage banquet staff to ensure effective coverage and labor efficiency
Respond to and resolve guest concerns professionally and proactively
Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies for banquet service
Enforce health and safety, ProServe, and company standards across all banquet operations
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls for the banquet department
Maintain strong communication and collaboration with culinary and F&B leadership
Requirements
Previous supervisory or management experience in banquets or events within the hospitality industry
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining service quality
Experience coordinating weddings, conferences, and corporate events is an asset
Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management is an asset
ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain)
Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Legally eligible to work in Canada full-time
