Where You'll Work
While this role is part of the broader POD Marketing organization, your work will be focused within our SmileShop Dental Marketing andMarketing4ECPs divisions. These two divisions have their own dedicated leadership team, client base, and operational style, allowing you to work in a focused, nimble environment while still benefiting from the shared resources, culture, and support of the larger POD group.
Marketing4ECPs is the original division of POD Marketing and remains a market leader in eye care marketing. SmileShop Dental Marketing is a dedicated marketing agency built specifically for dental practices. Our team works with hundreds of optometrists and dentists across North America, helping them grow their practices through tailored digital marketing strategies.
Job Summary
In the role of Paid Ads Specialist at POD Marketing, you will orchestrate a comprehensive suite of digital advertising initiatives, ensuring that strategies for PPC, Google Display, YouTube, and social media advertising not only meet but exceed our clients' expectations. Your meticulous oversight of campaign finances will guarantee adherence to budgets, while your dedication to deadlines ensures a flawless execution of marketing campaigns. A significant part of your role involves rigorous analysis and reporting, leveraging website analytics to enhance the impact of our advertising efforts. You will be instrumental in establishing and executing conversion tracking mechanisms, providing vital data that fuels client strategies. Collaboration is key, as you will join forces with teams across multiple disciplines to deliver holistic and customized marketing solutions. Additionally, your commitment to mentoring new talent, refining processes, and contributing to product development reflects our forward-thinking and innovative approach. Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategically plan, create, and oversee all facets of digital advertising, including PPC, Google Display, YouTube, and social media advertising campaigns.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, focusing on delivering an exceptional client experience that is tailored to the specific needs of each individual, ensuring satisfaction and long-lasting relationships.
- Monitor and manage campaign finances diligently, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints, forecasting monthly expenditures, and reconciling any financial inconsistencies.
- Uphold strict adherence to campaign deadlines, guaranteeing meticulous and faultless execution of tasks.
- Conduct detailed tracking, analysis, and reporting of website analytics, as well as performance metrics for all paid advertising initiatives and campaigns.
- Implement conversion tracking by setting up and placing appropriate codes on clients' websites.
- Work in tandem with cross-functional teamsspanning Marketing Science, Sales, Web Development, Social Media, Content, and SEOto manage client accounts and actualize tailored marketing strategies.
- Train new team members on best practices and protocols, providing valuable insights to improve their performance.
- Support process innovation and documentation, working closely with the Senior team members to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in small-scale product development initiatives, contributing ideas and collaborating on implementation.
- Continuously stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure we are ahead of the curve.
Required Experience & Skills
Must haves:
- Legally able to work in Canada and located in Calgary, AB
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in SEM (Search Engine Marketing) with documented success in managing PPC campaigns on Google, indicating a strong grasp of paid search strategies.
- 2+ years in customer service, hospitality, or client relationship management
- 1-2 years of practical experience with analytics and tracking tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, crucial for insights and performance tracking.
- Proficiency with bid management tools, particularly Adalysis, for optimizing advertising spend.
- Competence in the use of website analytics tools, which is key to understanding and improving user engagement.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with experience in generating SEM reports utilizing tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Looker Studio, signifying the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Understanding of A/B and multivariate testing, essential for optimizing and refining marketing strategies.
- An analytical and data-centric mindset to inform strategy and decision-making.
- The capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently, showing adept project management and prioritization.
- Strong organizational skills, necessary for maintaining systematic campaign management.
- A keen attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all aspects of work.
Nice to have:
- A Post-secondary STEM degree, which can provide enhanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics and experience with various paid advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Facebook/Instagram Ads, indicative of a broader expertise in digital advertising.
- A basic understanding of SEO principles, beneficial for integrating SEM with organic search strategies.
- Previous experience in an agency setting, suggesting adaptability and experience with client-focused environments.
- Involvement in self-initiated projects such as website development, blogging, or data science, reflecting drive, initiative, and a passion for the digital field.
