Overview:Cascadia Windows & Doors is an innovative manufacturer, creating beautiful architectural fiberglass windows and doors, as well as the Cascadia Clip® cladding attachment system. In response to the company's recent growth, Cascadia's on the lookout for a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to support product manufacturing.
Broad Objective:The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for the daily “Final Inspection” of all products coming off the glazing lines. From W.I.P. and final inspections to assist in the repairs/rework of deficiencies found during final inspections and inventory management support, the QA Tech must be capable of multi-tasking while working in a team environment to perform tasks cross-functionally.
General List of Responsibilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, for the performance of all daily activities.
- Work to ensure cooperation at all levels of the organization to produce products of the highest quality standards.
- Complete daily inspection checklists and report deficiencies to senior management.
- Perform shipping and, when required, receiving inspections for incoming and outgoing products to verify that products meet specifications and are free of damage or defects.
- Perform audits and investigations as needed or as scheduled.
- Inspect and/or measure materials, products, and assemblies for conformance to specifications.
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for the products, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
Qualifications:· 2-4 years of previous work experience in manufacturing or quality assurance.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· High-energy, detail-oriented, results-driven, self-motivated individual.· Familiarity and/or experience with various computer software such as MS Office/Outlook.· Excellent planning, coordination, and scheduling skills.· Reliability, integrity, passion, and in-person presentation skills with a strong ability to establish relationships.· Experience in window manufacturing/installation and/or the construction industry is an asset.· Professional designation is an asset.
