Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Digital Marketing Specialist at Dixon Hall will contribute to the organization's success by assisting in executing digital marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels. The focus of this role will be to manage Dixon Hall's online presence and create engaging digital content to promote its programs and services. This role will also be working closely with internal teams to provide support as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions across various digital channels including email, social media, website, and paid advertising.
- Manage and optimize Dixon Hall's online presence, including the website, social media profiles, and online listings, to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
- Create and manage digital content such as blog posts, social media posts, and email newsletters to engage our audience and promote Dixon Hall's programs and services.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of digital marketing campaigns using web analytics tools and provide regular reports and insights to the team.
- Ensure that all content and messaging on all digital channels align with Dixon Hall's brand voice and messaging.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and recommend new strategies and tactics to improve our digital marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create integrated marketing and communications campaigns that align with Dixon Hall's overall strategic plan.
- Assist in the development and execution of Dixon Hall's digital marketing strategy, including setting goals, identifying target audiences, and evaluating campaign effectiveness.
- Gather content and stories for digital communication initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational messaging and priorities.
- Other duties as required.
- University degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or University degree in other technical field equivalent to practical experience.
- Preference given to a minimum of 3 years in digital marketing in the not-for-profit sector
- A professional portfolio of digital marketing work, including metrics on how your work impacted the organization done to date, including samples of social media posts, and content development across several platforms - LinkedIn; Facebook; Instagram, etc.
- Highly experienced in digital marketing and website development/optimization. Expert computer skills, particularly evaluation and research software and tools (MS Office Suite applications); working knowledge of Google Analytics, Tag Manager and/or other relevant tools
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
- Extensive experience with Google Ads campaigns; LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram Advertising
- Highly experienced in utilizing Google Workspace platform including Drive, Gmail, Google Meet, Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides
- Advanced graphic design skills; working knowledge of web design and development, including content management systems
- Advanced Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop skills; social media scheduling software such as HootSuite
- Familiarity with Content Management System (CMS)
- Demonstrated success developing and maintaining effective working relationships with community organizations and major stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills with a strong ability to exchange knowledge; fluency in additional languages will be considered an asset
- Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer.
- Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening check with a ‘Clear' or satisfactory result that meets the operational requirements of the Agency.
- Must have up-to-date vaccinations against COVID-19 with a vaccine that has been approved for use in Canada.
