About the Role:
YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a part-time Youth Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact at our Kickstand Integrated Youth Services Hub, ensuring youth that access the site are welcomed.
Youth Coordinator plays a key role in shaping a positive experience for our Youth. The Youth Coordinator will supervisor the Kickstand volunteers, providing scheduling, communication, and support as needed.
This position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate our site hours and which are from 12pm-8pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of weekends.

Schedule: Monday to Friday between 12pm – 8pm (schedule may vary)
Responsibilities:
- Promote and facilitate a positive YMCA experience for anyone who visits our Kickstand Hub.
- Role model YMCA values in each interaction by delivering service responsibly, honestly and with care.
- Provide information on a variety of youth programs and services, process registrations for programs and provide support.
- Offer tours and welcome youth.
- Provide Peer Support to youth requiring this support.
- Facilitate workshops and activities within the Kickstand site.
- Respond to all requests and concerns in a timely manner.
- Respect the confidential information of youth who access Kickstand
- Supervise Kickstand volunteers; scheduling, communication, and day-to-day support.
- Adhere to the YMCA Experience Manual policies and demonstrate practices consistently, ensure that all YMCA Standards are met or exceeded.
- Ensure work area (lobby, desk, and entry) is clean and maintained.
- Follow YMCA Cash Handling Policy and processes.
- Ensure the safety and security of everyone who visit oursite, follow the site's emergency response procedures.
- Monitors and reinforces member/guest behavior in accordance with the Member and Participant Code of Conduct.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completed or attending Post- Secondary in Human Services or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience is an asset
- Certifications: Standard First Aid & CPR-C
- Flexible availability
- Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
