This is a dynamic and hands-on role suited for someone with a valid Class 3 license and air brake endorsement, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys variety in their day. As a Swing Driver, you'll be responsible for operating a range of vehicles and equipment, completing waste and recycling pickups, and ensuring service is carried out efficiently and professionally. This position requires flexibility, physical capability, and a strong knowledge of the local area. ResponsibilitiesMust follow all Client safety procedures and be knowledgeable about the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various equipment and performing multiple roles as needed
Must be flexible and ready to take on different duties daily, often with little advance notice
Should have a strong understanding of Saint John and surrounding areas to complete routes effectively
Ensure all customer sites are serviced according to contract terms and scheduled timelines
Physically capable of handling tasks such as opening and closing heavy bin doors, securing tarps, fastening bins to trucks, and moving front-end containers
Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times
Expected to meet or exceed productivity and performance standards
Comply with all company and provincial health and safety regulations
Use a tablet for route updates and maintain communication with dispatch using a two-way radio
Maintain a clean and safe vehicle at all times
Be willing to operate different types of vehicles and perform other duties, including residential collection, depending on operational requirementsRequirementsA clean driving abstract with no preventable accidents within the past year is required
Candidates must hold a valid Class 3 driver's license with air brake endorsement
At least one year of hands-on experience with each relevant type of equipment is considered a strong asset
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are essential
