We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable and Collections Clerk on a short term contract. This role will focus on managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and record customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, identifying overdue accounts and initiating collection efforts.
- Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment terms, and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of account activity and collection efforts, updating systems as necessary.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Assist with addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues related to billing and collections.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of accounts receivable processes and procedures.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
