We have a full-time opportunity for a Head of Brand and Communications to join our marketing team.

As the Head of Brand and Communications, you will serve as the steward of the PressReader brand, developing and executing comprehensive strategies that elevate our market presence across multiple industries and stakeholder groups in close collaboration with our Customer Marketing, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing and Sales functions. This role will lead our creative, content marketing, and events teams while working cross-functionally to ensure brand consistency at every customer touchpoint.

In this role, you will:

Brand Leadership

  • Champion the PressReader brand throughout the organization to ensure consistent understanding and application across all customer touchpoints
  • Collaborate with Sales, Account Managers and Product teams to ensure brand consistency throughout the user and customer journey
  • Leverage our brand guidelines, voice, and positioning to refine our GTM and find new opportunities to reach our diverse audience segments
  • Leverage existing and create new partnerships to create compelling brand storytelling opportunities that amplify PressReader's impact and innovations among publishers, businesses, libraries and industry organizations
  • Create thought leadership opportunities that position PressReader as an industry leader

Team Leadership

  • Direct and mentor the Creative Department
  • Guide the Content Marketing strategy and execution through leadership of Senior Content Strategy Manager
  • Oversee Events planning and execution in collaboration with the Events and Brand Activations Specialist
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative team culture that delivers exceptional results
  • Manage team resources effectively within budget constraints

Growth Enablement

  • Identify and implement alternative marketing approaches to reach diverse industry segments and engage current partners and customers
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Sales and business development teams to create and deliver compelling materials that support revenue goals
  • Develop metrics to measure brand impact on business growth
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities to elevate PressReader's profile in key markets

You are a great fit if you have:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in brand, communications, and/or marketing roles
  • Proven experience leading and executing integrated brand and communications strategies
  • Strong expertise in brand management
  • Experience leading creative, content, and events teams with demonstrated results
  • A data-driven approach to measuring communications effectiveness
  • The ability to translate complex business objectives into compelling brand narratives
  • A background in publishing, media, or technology companies
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on driving growth
  • Exceptional communication skills across various formats and channels
  • Strong leadership abilities with a talent for inspiring and developing teams
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across departments
  • A creative, solutions-oriented approach, particularly when working with limited resources
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambiguity

Bonus points if you:

  • Have completed a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent
  • Have experience founding a brand marketing role across an organization
  • Have previous agency experience or worked on an in-house brand refresh
  • Passion for media, publishing, and content distribution

PressReader is committed to providing a fair compensation package which include a 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision benefit plan; 15 paid vacation days to start; health and wellness days and bereavement days; reimbursements for professional training and membership in professional associations; fitness subsidy and more, along with a chance to be working with amazing people. The pay range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
