Our company is seeking a Part Time Human Resources Generalist. This can be a contract or permanent position.
Reporting to the CEO, the HR Generalist will be responsible for providing support to our client located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In this role, you may be required to work on site with staff and management on a HR project, with a strong focus on recruitment and onboarding and performance management.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist with ongoing performance management and employee relations with staff and managers.
- Full cycle recruitment that includes drafting job postings, sourcing for passive candidates, completing pre-screen interviews, references and providing offers of employment to successful candidates.
- Tracks vacancies and candidates and updates the ATS and HRIS
- Supports clients with candidate interviews as needed
- Ensure all HR best practices are adhered to, and strong internal controls are applied to preserve confidentiality and discretion as expected.
- Coordinate the development of new HR policies and ensure they are aligned with the overall corporate strategy.
- Facilitate the onboarding and orientation of staff while making recommendations for new programs and changes as needed.
- Participate in career fairs and meetings onsite and virtually for recruitment purposes
- Maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with client on site and virtually, and acts as a liaison between management and staff to help build strong relationships and trust.
- Supports Workforce Talent Consultant with on-going projects and clients
- Additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in Human Resource Management from an accredited Canadian university.
- HR certification is an asset
- 5+ years of experience in human resources
- Experience in the public sector is an asset
- Ability to work onsite and remote
- Knowledge of HR policies/procedures related to recruitment and selection; compensation and performance management; training and development and applicable labor standards and employment law.
- Proven success in delivering strategic HR solutions in the areas of talent acquisition and performance management
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.
- Strong computer skills: MS Office applications, ATS and HRIS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly professional and able to represent SIEL Human Solutions internally and externally to the organization.
- Ability to work with private and confidential documents.
- Ability to lead initiatives and projects.
- Ability to raise issues pro-actively and in a timely manner.
- Ability to make decisions, exercise judgment and take initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries.
- Superior interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
