Functional Summary:

The Bilingual (Spanish) Transportation Coordinator will manage the shipment of items from the warehouse with carriers and customers, and any other stakeholders accurately, efficiently and safely. This role requires fluency in Spanish to ensure effective communication with local partners and stakeholders.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accurately arranges loads and communicates with carriers as necessary, emailing BOLS, confirmations and alerts.
  • Gathers and files carrier certifications for record keeping.
  • Manages cross border shipments and understands the customs requirements.
  • Communicate accurately with customers and carriers regarding issues with P&D.
  • Understands current industry market rate / conditions and communicates impacts to the business.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains relationships with existing customers and builds business internally.
  • Uses Loadlink to find loads and rateshop.
  • Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned.

  • Direct supervision and guidance from the Transportation & Dispatch Manager.

Type of Supervision and/or Assistance Given:

  • May be required to supervise, train and review work of subordinate or new hires.

Education/Qualifications & Experience:

Education/Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain / Logistics or a related field
  • Cross-border transportation knowledge
  • Ability to speak Spanish for coordinating with local partners and stakeholders
  • Possess geographical knowledge of North America

Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel
  • Ability to operate different TMS software solutions
