We are looking for a meticulous and driven Assistant Controller to join our client's finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting financial operations, ensuring precise reporting, and upholding compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical abilities, hands-on experience with accounting systems, and a collaborative mindset. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports across multiple entities.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to maintain accurate financial records.
• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor and review company cash flow requirements.
• Maintain capital asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Support the Controller with year-end closing and special projects.
• Provide assistance to team members as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Accounting designation (CPA – CA, CMA, CGA) is an asset but not mandatory.
• 3+ years experience in a Controller role
• Prior experience in accounting, with expertise in general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience in the agricultural or construction industry is a strong plus.
