Do you have a strong job costing background within Accounting?


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our clients finance team. This role plays a key part in managing financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring accurate and timely financial data to guide strategic decision-making. Reporting into the Sr. Controller, you will support with key decisions in the facility for job costing and pricing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial integrity is maintained.
  • Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis on a regular basis to support financial accuracy.
  • Develop, document, and monitor internal controls to support compliance and enhance financial reporting.
  • Manage fixed asset records, including tracking, valuation, and depreciation schedules.
  • Review and validate financial data across accounting systems, ensuring completeness and correctness.
  • Support budgeting processes by analyzing spending trends, forecasting revenue, and advising on expenditure control measures.
  • Lead or contribute to the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
  • Train team members on accounting systems and provide oversight on their financial outputs to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners on various accounting-related matters.
  • Assist with payroll review and processing, including potential expansion to cover multiple regions.
  • Perform additional finance tasks or projects as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation or progress toward designation is considered an asset).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Proficiency with mid-tier ERP software, particularly for accounting and reporting; experience with system transitions or upgrades is beneficial.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, drive process improvements, and contribute to team development.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-paced environment and adaptable to change.
