JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a Derivatives Execution & Clearing technologist to join their dynamic team in the Global Markets division. As a key player within their organization, the candidate will be a vital resource in the delivery of technology & software solutions used to improve their cleared derivative trading and operational capabilities employed around the globe.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

-A degree in Computer Science or a related field

-5-10 years of professional experience in the financial services industry specifically as a technology architect Strong financial experience with integrated execution and clearing platforms & infrastructure; experience with Futures & Options, Clearing of OTC Derivatives

-Proficiency in Database like SQL server, oracle and experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, or similar)

-Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus

-Programming experience in Java or other advanced languages -Experience with ION applications such as XTP is a plus

-Assess impact of regulatory changes to technology framework

-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

-Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

-Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes

Key Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance derivative execution & clearing operations aligning with client, business and regulatory needs

-Work across business and technology to design the optimal infrastructure from a technology solutions approach

-Analyze and interpret complex data from multiple sources to inform decision-making and strategic investments

-Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to automate processes and support data analysis -Provide insights and recommendations to improve business processes and data quality

-Participate in the continuous improvement of data management systems and tools
