Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (IT) to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT initiatives within the Government of Alberta. The successful candidate will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive business alignment, and ensure successful delivery across technical and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop project charters, business plans, and delivery frameworks
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycles and multiple concurrent initiatives
• Define clear roles, responsibilities, and governance structures
• Collaborate with business and IT leadership to define scope, timelines, risks, and budgets
• Monitor and report progress to stakeholders and steering committees
• Ensure project compliance with enterprise architecture and data standards
• Lead requirement-gathering and change management initiatives
• Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in developing integrated project plans and IT project documentation
• 8+ years managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders
• 8+ years of experience supporting IT governance and project oversight
• 5+ years leading healthcare portfolios or related domains
• 5+ years experience assisting clients in executing strategies involving technology, process, and organizational change
• 5+ years experience defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables for senior leadership

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience with clinical data integration
• 5+ years working as a Change Manager on large, complex IT projects
• 5+ years in IT systems analysis, development, and integration
• Experience translating complex business problems into actionable technology solutions
