Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Specialist to join our Information Services team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring operational continuity, managing high-impact incidents, supporting disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and leading infrastructure-related initiatives. This is a full-time opportunity ideal for someone with strong IT operations experience, technical leadership, and a passion for process optimization. Responsibilities:
- Manage infrastructure-related audits, maintain SOPs and support documentation, and administer software license renewals and contracts.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align infrastructure efforts and maintain stable IS/IT operations.
- Oversee major incident response, drive resolution efforts, and conduct post-incident reviews and root cause analyses.
- Provide oversight of infrastructure changes, ensuring adherence to change management policies.
- Coordinate infrastructure-related projects, manage handover from project teams to operations, and support demand management activities.
- Lead the disaster recovery and business continuity planning lifecycle, ensuring relevance and modernization.
- Ensure DEV/UAT/PROD environment alignment through regular planning, documentation, and refresh strategy reviews.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure support roles.
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL frameworks and hands-on experience with ServiceNow.
- Strong crisis management, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, with an emphasis on service continuity.
- Proven ability to manage projects, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with confidence in cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with infrastructure technologies and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Post-secondary education in computer science or a related discipline.
