Must-haves
- LoanIQ or other relevant systems (ACBS, LMS360, etc.)
- Advanced understanding of credit agreements and the expertise to pinpoint details as to what to look for in credit agreements
- Previous financial institution experience
- Background in corporate and commercial lending or loan servicing
- Excel, pivot tables - pulling data and creating presentation
- Extremely strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Understanding of business unit's risk and regulatory requirements

Day-to-Day
Insight Global is looking for a Deal Specialist to join the team with one of our large banking clients in the downtown Toronto area on a 1-year contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Provides loan closing and portfolio monitoring support in a professional and timely manner
- Facilitates the loan closing process, commitment management, and the booking and accounting of the loan portfolio ensuring all required policies, guidelines, and standards are met
- Delivers exceptional customer service by providing responsive, accurate, consistent, knowledgeable services and support
- Participates in deal closing events to ensure conditions and funding requirements have been met
- Work with Servicing teams (Agency side and Bi-Lateral side) -- work with Servicing Analysts to cover both teams and assign Analysts to deals/loans and provide information on what they need to have in the system to service these loans/deals
- Ensure Deal Structure into Loan IQ adherences to credit approval, directives to mitigate risk to the bank
- Analyzes Term Sheet and Credit Agreements and accurately inputting information into Loan IQ
- Tracks and monitors credit, legal, and compliance documentation/collateral and participates in the follow-up and escalation process when issues are identified.
- Reviewing credit agreements and providing comments to the line of business in regards to any changes in the process from an operational standpoint
- Working with portfolio managers to onboard new clients by reviewing and inputting credit agreements and deal documentation in LoanIQ system and APMS ( asset portfolio management system) for closings and amendments
- Responsible for monthly & quarterly deal document tracking (financial statements, compliance certificates & inputting monthly/quarterly covenants and triggers
- Review/approve transactions from a high-level perspective - such as margin changes, pricing changes, amendments for commitment decreases/in! creases
- Support and build relationships with internal corporate banking business partners through daily interactions in supporting mutual clients
