Position Overview:

Forum Asset Management is hiring a Senior Associate, People & Talent to play a central role in delivering best-in-class talent, people and culture programs. The Senior Associate will report to the VP, People & Culture. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and versatile HR professional to join a collaborative, fast-paced, and growth-focused organization.

This role combines strategic talent acquisition with hands-on generalist responsibilities across HR operations, engagement, communications, performance, and compliance. The successful candidate will be a trusted talent partner to hiring managers, lead recruitment initiatives, and drive programs that enhance the overall team member experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand

  • Own the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned rolesfrom job posting to offer acceptanceserving as a strategic talent partner to hiring managers.
  • Create compelling job postings that reflect Forums brand, culture, and values.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies using a blend of proactive outreach, digital platforms, internal networks, and referrals.
  • Conduct screening and assessment of candidates to ensure a strong match with role requirements and culture fit.
  • Guide hiring managers through the recruitment process, providing advice on interview structure, assessment tools, and candidate selection.
  • Track and optimize recruitment KPIs to ensure efficient hiring and a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Lead and grow internship, student, and early talent programs, ensuring structured experiences that support development and future pipeline building.
  • Champion and strengthen Forums employer brand by leveraging digital channels, candidate experience strategies, and thought leadership initiatives.

Engagement & Communications

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep team members informed and connected across the firm.
  • Coordinate and evaluate employee engagement initiatives, including culture surveys and pulse checks, and partner with leadership on follow-up action planning and recognition programs.
  • Create programming that aligns with Forums culture, values, and commitment to employee development and recognition.

HR Operations, Data & Compliance

  • Administer and continuously improve HR systems (HRIS), maintaining accurate employee data, organizational records, and reports.
  • Administer benefits administration, acting as the liaison for team members and providers, and managing enrollment and changes.
  • Administer payroll in partnership with finance to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly people metrics reporting (e.g., headcount, turnover, DEI, engagement) to inform leadership decisions.
  • Ensure all people-related practices, policies, and documents are compliant with employment legislation and regulatory requirements, including health and safety program.
  • Manage employee files and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.

  • Respond to day-to-day HR inquiries, guiding team members through policies, processes, and organizational changes.
  • Support special projects that enhance HR capabilities and elevate the employee experience.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline; CHRP designation is an asset.
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including full-cycle recruitment, HR operations, and culture-building initiatives, and HR Administration.
  • Experience working within the investment management, asset management, or financial services industries is an advantage, or an entrepreneurial team
  • Strong track record in talent acquisition for a variety of roles and partnering effectively with hiring managers.
  • Skilled in employer branding, digital sourcing, and early talent program management.
  • Proficient in using HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems; strong data literacy with the ability to analyze and report on people metrics.
  • Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR compliance practices, as well as knowledge of legislation in other provinces.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven project management abilities and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and attention to detail.
