Wage-$25-35/hour (experience required)
Qualifications:
- Master of Social Work from an accredited university
- Experience in working with patients with addictions and mental health is an asset
- Experience in individual and family counselling and evidence-based psychosocial interventions
- Experience with group support facilitation
- Working knowledge of Zoom conferencing platform
- Familiarity with relevant legislation (e.g. Health Care Consent Act, Mental Health Act, etc.)
- Superior communication, problem-solving, time management, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as member of a multidisciplinary team
- Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to manage a busy and varied caseload
- Completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Make contact/build rapport with clients who are presently in addiction recovery programs or in need of outpatient addiction treatment
- Awareness of issues around and experience in dealing with concurrent disorders; marginalized populations; spiritual issues in recovery
- The ability to provide trauma informed services
- Ability to navigate technology and trouble shoot technical difficulties that impact a virtual group
- Comfortable with learning new software and creating engaging/interactive group material/presentations in established topics.

- Demonstrated ability to provide effective one-on-one counselling; virtual support group facilitation;
- Addiction Case Management
- Supportive and crisis counselling
- Training and experience in the delivery of program in the following areas: Relapse Prevention; Life Skills, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Identify and assess short and long term goals with client.
- Provide ongoing Relapse Prevention Counselling and support client in their recovery goals
- Support clients to implement their action plan
- Provide referrals, as required, to connect clients to appropriate community support services
- Provide life skills teaching to clients, as required
- Maintain accurate and professional client documentation
- Attend team meetings as required
- Community networking
- Discharge Planning
- Report to Clinical Director
