Welcome toM3,we are looking for experienced Labour Foreman to join our team.

As a Labour Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the work of labor teams on various construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality while managing day-to-day site operations. Your duties will include assigning tasks, monitoring progress, maintaining site organization, and providing guidance to crew members. If you have strong leadership skills, prior experience in the construction industry, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee unloading tools, organizing materials, and setting up equipment for daily operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate laborers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Plan and delegate construction and renovation tasks, including drywall installation, boarding, taping, and mudding.
  • Operate, maintain, and monitor the proper use of tools and power equipment.
  • Manage the movement and placement of materials on job sites, optimizing workflow and reducing downtime.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.
  • Inspect work to verify it meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Quickly assess and resolve issues as they arise, minimizing disruptions.
  • Oversee general site cleanup, including sweeping, shoveling, and proper debris disposal.
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors, providing regular updates on work progress and site conditions.
  • Guide and support team members, promoting skill development and growth.
  • Be ready to step in where needed and take on additional responsibilities as projects evolve.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of 3 years experience as a journey-level carpenter.
  • Additional certification may be required.
  • High level of creativity and excellent design skills
  • Cabinet making or joinery skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Able to use common hand tools and power tools.
  • PPE and carpentry trade tools.
  • Troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces.

Nice to Haves:

  • Have own vehicle or reliable transportation.
  • Has Fall Protection, First Aid and/or WHMIS.
  • Experience working on high-rise projects
  • Tickets in Heavy Equipment Use.
  • Live in and have access to sites in Vancouver and Lower Mainland.
