M3 Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Deficiency Carpenter with a valid Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, site-based position focused on performing finishing and repair work across residential and commercial construction projects in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong carpentry skills who can handle post-construction touch-ups and corrections, while also contributing to overall site safety thanks to their first aid training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform punch list repairs and touch-ups (drywall patches, trim fixes, door adjustments, cabinetry, paint corrections, etc.)
  • Inspect and correct minor deficiencies in newly built or renovated spaces before client handoff
  • Install, adjust, or repair baseboards, doors, hardware, cabinetry, shelving, and other finishing elements
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and cleanliness across finished units
  • Follow direction from site supervisors and collaborate with other trades to meet project deadlines
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed while on site
  • Be available to respond to any minor medical situations (due to valid First Aid certification) if needed

Requirements:

  • Valid Intermediate First Aid (Level 2) or Advanced First Aid (Level 3) certification
  • 1+ years of experience in carpentry, finishing, or general construction
  • Comfortable working independently and completing high-quality repair tasks
  • Own basic hand tools (power tools an asset)
  • CSA-approved steel-toe boots and standard PPE
  • Strong attention to detail and site cleanliness
  • Ability to communicate effectively with site staff and supervisors
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (work permits accepted)

Nice to Have (Not Mandatory):

  • Experience in residential or high-rise construction environments
  • WHMIS, Fall Protection, or other safety tickets
  • Valid drivers license and/or reliable transportation
  • Experience working through deficiency/walkthrough lists with site management

Location: Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
Schedule: MondayFriday (occasional weekends depending on site needs)
