A growing local Vineyard and Farm Management operation in the Niagara area has an opening for an Accountant/Bookkeeper to start immediately. This is a stand-alone position and requires being in the office Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Job Duties: • Responsible for oversight of all company payroll and accounts payable processing • Government remittance and filings including WSIB, EHT, PD7A's, T4's, HST, ROE's • Bank Reconciliations and cash management for multiple companies • Process journal entries and inter-company accounts and transfers • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested. • Assisting with Government grant applications • General assistance with all bookkeeping functions for all companies, including year end file/documentation (Financial Statement) preparation. Requirements/Qualifications: MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS OF QUICKBOOKS ON-LINE, PLUS: • Degree in Accounting or Finance or a minimum of 5 years experience • 2+ years of Accounting/Finance,/Payroll experience, dealing with multiple small companies • High level of attention to detail and accuracy • Intermediate knowledge of payroll processing programs, payroll legislation and reporting, and payroll contractual language • Understanding of accounting fundamentals, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgets, year end preparation etc. • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with solid intermediate skills for Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
