Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients an Infrastructure Engineer - this is a fully remote role and candidates can be based in N/S America.

Over the next 10 years, payment and financial services businesses will upgrade the movement of money and financial assets to blockchain-based networks.

We are on a mission to revolutionize the way people access and transact in the world's most widely recognized and stable currency, the US Dollar. We are building a next-generation payments, asset management, and operations platform that's purpose-built for the transmission of value on blockchain digital rails. The Company is led by Nick van Eck (prev. at General Catalyst 4+ years) and Drake Evans (ex-lead engineer at Frax Finance, the issuer of the second largest onchain stablecoin).

What we're building

First and foremost, we're building an engineering organization dedicated to producing the best. We are building a culture where we work as a team, we operate as a unit, and we trust each other to produce the best code and culture we can.

Our first product — a fully collateralized, freely tradeable USD stablecoin — will be launched in the year ahead. It'll be competing directly with the heavyweight stables in the market today but will differentiate materially in terms of its value proposition, resource allocation, and GTM model. The stable's collateral will be managed by VanEck, one of the world's largest asset managers and ETF issuers (~$80B AUM).

Job Overview

We're looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design and build highly automated, self-service infrastructure that empowers our development team while ensuring scalability and resilience. The ideal candidate will focus on eliminating toil through automation, optimizing our deployment processes, and enhancing our cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement self-service infrastructure solutions that enable developer productivity

• Create automation tooling to minimize manual tasks and reduce operational overhead

• Architect scalable and resilient systems that support our enterprise-grade platform

• Optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery

• Manage and improve cloud infrastructure operations and costs

• Implement infrastructure as code practices using modern tooling

• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide solutions

• Monitor system performance and implement improvements

• Establish and maintain infrastructure documentation

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering

• Strong knowledge of AWS

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Pulumi, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and practices

• Familiarity with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes

• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, etc.)

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools

• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on automation and efficiency

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in fintech or financial services

• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud infrastructure

• Experience with database administration and optimization

• Familiarity with microservices architectures

• Understanding of networking concepts and implementation

• Experience managing infrastructure for high-availability systems
