We are looking for a Regional Maintenance Manager to support the hotel division!
This role is based out of Grande Prairie, Alberta and will support hotels in the Peace Region, including Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Fort St. John, British Columbia as well as Grande Prairie, Alberta, travel will be required.
Position Overview
As the Regional Maintenance Manager, you will provide strategic support and operational expertise to hotel property maintenance teams. Your role will be to ensure consistent service excellence across the portfolio by overseeing maintenance performance, regulatory compliance, vendor relations and service contract management. The Regional Maintenance Manager will provide guidance to a team of skilled maintenance professionals while working closely with on-site teams to enhance technical competencies, reduce reliance on external contractors and elevate guest satisfaction through high-quality property upkeep. Key Focuses
Team Leadership & Development:
- Onboard, lead, coach, and manage a team of regional maintenance technicians across multiple hotels
- Serve as a subject matter expert to on-site teams, offering troubleshooting guidance and proactive coaching.
- Develop learning plans and provide technical training to enhance the capabilities of hotel maintenance teams.
- Foster a “One Team” culture by collaborating closely with property leaders and operational departments.
Maintenance Coordination & Quality Standards
- Coordinate property maintenance across the Peace Region/Grande Prairie in partnership with General Managers and the corporate office.
- Prioritize projects and allocate skilled resources to support property maintenance beyond on-site team capacity.
- Ensure high standards are consistently met across all building systems and guest-facing areas.
Health & Safety
- Lead and coordinate Health and Safety committees.
- Ensure a safe and compliant work environment across all properties.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Source and manage vendor, trade, and service provider relationships at local and regional levels.
- Administer maintenance-related service contracts, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a contract and service calendar to ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Negotiate pricing and scope of work to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
- Evaluate contractor performance and assess opportunities to bring services in-house where beneficial.
Vendor & Contract Management

- Deliverables are executed in a manner that requires little or no follow-up in terms of scope, timeliness and quality.
Experience/Passions/Education
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or technical operations within hotels, resorts, or multi-site facilities
- Skilled in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance
- Collaborative, hands-on leader with a passion for mentoring and developing teams
- Strong focus on safety, guest experience, and maintaining high operational standards
- Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and preventative maintenance programs
- Effective in remote or rural hospitality environments with regional travel flexibility
- Proficient in MS Office and maintenance management software
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education and trade certifications (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are strong assets
- WHMIS certification is an asset
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle required
Working Conditions
This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This strategic role requires frequent interactions with the maintenance teams and key stakeholders to maintain operational efficiency, consistency and equipment reliability. This position will require independent work, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and exposure to hot and cold temperatures. This role requires travel to the Peace Region, including Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Fort St. John, British Columbia as well as Grande Prairie, Alberta.
