Program Overview
Reporting to the Director, Digital Solutions, the successful candidate will work with the Digital Solutions team to advance our ability to serve all WoodGreen with these digital capabilities. The Associate will engage with project stakeholders to ensure that we are accelerating our ability to advance our mission through digital technologies.
Its newly formed Digital Transformation Office (DTO) has been established to deliver on this strategy and enable a positive social impact to Toronto with teams focused on:
  • Developing, implementing, and embedding digital solutions to solve real problems for the clients we serve,
  • Leveraging those solutions' data to establish enterprise analytics for data-driven decision-making at operational and strategic levels, and,
  • Integrating these capabilities into innovative organizational ways of working to ensure cohesive and positive digital experiences.

What You Will Do
The Digital Solutions Associate role focusses on the first of these 3 focal points for the DTO. As we establish our work in this domain, we are looking for support with a variety of deliverables related to our:
  • Project delivery: both technical and non-technical
  • Work planning, in consideration of: resources, scheduling, presentations, updates, risks, communications, and activity tracking
  • Development of resources for: training, procedures, and other project artefacts
  • Strategic business unit and portfolio roadmaps
  • Business analysis, including requirements and user stories
  • Application and platform roadmaps
  • Stakeholder engagement & support

What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's in a discipline related to business, technology, digital, data, marketing or some other related field—completed or in progress.
  • Strong ability to coordinate and support work across multiple different projects
  • Drive and ability to learn quickly and effectively across a diverse range of project types and sectors
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with sound decision-making skills
  • High degree of comfort with Microsoft suite of products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.), with experience in a BI tool an asset

Must meet the participant requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Agreement with Employment and Social Development Canada as outlined:
  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period*
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

*The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.
**International students are not eligible participants. International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible. As the objective of the CSJ program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student's time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.
