Estimator – ICI Construction
A leading construction management firm is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality projects within the ICI sector.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for ICI construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure clarity of scope and alignment of expectations.
  • Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in project costs and schedules.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
  • Maintain a database of historical costs to support ongoing estimating efforts.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in ICI (industrial, commercial, institutional) construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Experience working on both competitive tenders and negotiated bids is an asset.
