The Stanley's Bar and Grill Restaurant Server is part of the team responsible for excellent guest and food service. Main duties include greeting guests and contributing to a positive experience by connecting with them, offering excellent product knowledge, beverage options & pairings, as well as providing local area knowledge, maintaining proper food handling procedures, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, following opening and closing procedures and providing a seamless experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full table service (order taking, food running and bussing tables),
- Prepare and deliver all food and beverages in a timely manner, follow wine service steps as needed,
- Ensure quality assurance checks are completed in a timely manner,
- Anticipate Guests' needs and search for ways to increase Guest satisfaction,
- Efficiently operate restaurant POS and complete cash-out at end of shift,
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment,
- Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements,
- Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook,
- Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies,
- Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and beverage safety,
- Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest's health and safety,
- Be alert to hazards and immediately report any concerns of yours or our guests to your supervisor,
- Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person's safety is not impaired, by alcohol, drugs or other causes.
Qualifications:
- One (1) year of serving experience,
- POS experience or previous knowledge of Profitek System, an asset,
- Must have up to date Serving It Right certificate,
- Strong communication skills, multilingual is considered an asset,
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task,
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by,
- Ability to work with team members professionally and with respect,
- Working with the team and supporting one another to achieve company goals.
Considerations
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool,
- Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business,
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions, including heat, rain, and winter environments.
