POSITION STATUS: Temporary Full-Time
RATE OF PAY: $18.20 per hour
SHIFT WORK REQUIRED: Tuesday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM
WORK DURATION: Tuesday, June 11, 2024 to Saturday, August 31, 2024
WORK LOCATION: Francois Baby House, 254 Pitt St W., Windsor, Ontario, N9A 5L5

DUTIES:
The student will: Develop and implement off-site programming aimed at senior citizens in long-term care or retirement homes, on a variety of themes compatible with Museum Windsor's mission. Assist with the implementation of summer-based programming for youths, and programming in a historic house for the general public

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University or College student (preferably a major in history, anthropology, tourism, museum studies, Indigenous studies, Journalism or related field);
  • Attention to detail of paramount importance; must be well-organized
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada (non-Canadians holding temporary work visas or awaiting permanent resident status are not eligible);
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (have a valid social insurance number);
  • Must be between 16 and 30 years of age inclusively at the start of employment;
  • Must be a high school, college, CEGEP or university student.
