Client Care (Sales) Lead
This full-time position works onsite at Gus's Pet Resort

Are you a sales superstar and animal lover? Join Gus's Pet Resort team as the Client Care + Sales Lead and lead our client care and sales teams to exceed sales targets and ensure our clients leave happy and are eager to return. This newly created role is accountable for the overall sales performance of the team, including the retention of existing clients and conversion/booking of new ones to utilize our services. In addition, they will oversee a group of sales/booking staff, the client experience, and drive internal marketing initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Lead and mentor our client care team to deliver top-notch service and hit and exceed sales targets. Provide coaching, management, and support to help team members thrive in their roles, while instilling a sales-driven mindset in every team member.
  • Exceptional Client Experiences: Ensure that every pet parent receives a warm, personalized, and memorable experience. Address client inquiries, resolve concerns, and foster lasting relationships.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with other departments to ensure the smooth flow of operations and create a unified, customer-centric environment.
  • Feedback Maestro: Gather and analyze client feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Strategy Stalwart: Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives, promotions, and events to drive revenue. Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Process Optimization: Streamline client care processes, ensuring efficiency without compromising the quality of service. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to elevate our client care standards.
  • Team Empowerment: Foster a positive and collaborative team environment where creativity, initiative, and dedication are recognized and celebrated.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, retail sales and/or customer experience with a proven track record in in a B2C service or retail environment. Knowledge or experience in marketing and/or social media sales in an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years of people leadership with the ability to inspire, motivate, train, and empower team members to perform.
  • High level knowledge of dog breeds, behaviour basics, and grooming services.
  • Able to meet and exceed sales targets while delivering exceptional customer experiences and coach your team to do the same.
  • Effectively use social media and internal events help our clients and team to have fun, create community, and increase our sales.
  • Ability to build and foster positive relationships with clients and staff.
  • Takes a friendly and professional approach to customer care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to persuade, inform, and delight clients with your words.
  • A problem solving pro who is able to handle challenges with creativity and a smile, turning obstacles into opportunities.
  • Confidently able to learn and use email and CRM (customer relationship management) software.
  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace and learn how to use new software platforms, tools, and digital interfaces.

Good To Know

  • This is a full-time position and that works onsite at Gus's Pet Resort in Okotoks, AB
  • The successful candidate must be physically able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Scheduled work will take place during our hours of operation between 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday through Saturday.
  • The hourly rate of pay starts at $18/hour
