About the Role

In this new role, the Intermediate Electrical Designer will be based out of our Vancouver Office and will be responsible for modelling electrical systems (in AutoCAD and/or Revit) for commercial and institutional building projects.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop construction document packages in AutoCAD and/or Revit, designing a building's electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and communications
  • Integrate electrical details into the working drawings
  • Research for the sourcing of equipment and vendors
  • Apply AutoCAD and Revit standards; follow procedures and guidelines
  • Provide support for plotting and sending of electronic file submission
  • Attend field reviews with Project Managers and/or Field Service Representatives
  • Liaise with Architects, Interior Designers, and other professionals
  • Other duties assigned as necessary

Our Must Haves:

  • Completed a minimum of two years post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering [BSc (Eng) or B.Eng]
  • Completed post-secondary course(s) or equivalent training in power systems is an asset
  • Completed a minimum of one course or have working proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • Organized and able to prioritize various tasks and have a flexible approach to assignments
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, willing to meet quick deadlines and handle multiple projects
