Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned, strategic-thinking Operations Director to lead our operations. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all facets of general contracting, have a comprehensive understanding of operational procedures, and demonstrate a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all daily operational activities related to general contracting and provide strategic direction and support for the team.
  2. Develop and implement operation strategies, structures, and processes that align with the goals of our general contracting services.
  3. Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize operational effectiveness, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  4. Monitor the progress of all general contracting projects, manage contractors, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and enforce adherence to timelines and budgets.
  5. Work closely with the project management team to coordinate resources and manpower, resolve issues, and mitigate project risks.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction industry, with a focus on general contracting.
  2. Proven experience in an operational leadership role, preferably as an Operations Director.
  3. Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage and execute complex projects from conception to completion.
  4. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  6. BSc/BA in Engineering, Construction Science, or relevant field.
