Youth In Policing Initiative (YIPI)
The Windsor Police Service in partnership with the Government of Ontario's Ministry of Children and Youth Services is pleased to announce that we are once again accepting applications for the Youth in Policing Initiative.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Youth in Policing Initiative is a valuable paid summer work experience from July 2nd to August 23rd, 2024 with the Windsor Police Service. Students will have the opportunity to participate in diverse, educational and productive work assignments in various departments of the Windsor Police. Past experiences have included assisting with Camp Brombal, field trips to the Ontario Police College, and demonstrations by the Windsor Police Training Centre.
Compensation: Approximately $16.55 per hour
ELIGIBLITY:

• Be between the ages of 15 & 18 years old
• Be return to high school in September 2024
• Be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Not have a criminal record
• Must reside in Windsor or Amherstburg
• Be able to commit to all 8 weeks of the program (Work Monday - Friday. No vacation days other than recognized statutory holidays
