- Create test plans and strategies to fully understand optical interface products.
- Implement these plans, testing equipment performance against design requirements.
- Develop and run automated tests, exploring new methods for software verification and validation.
- Document test progress and results, assisting with issue resolution.
- Maintain testing environments.
- Enhance the test automation framework and team processes continually.
- Take part in technical design document reviews during the design and verification process.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in verifying optical transport products and automating tests.
- Possess a minimum of 4 years of testing experience across Layers 1, 2, and 3.
- Exhibit a solid understanding of general packet and optical networking principles.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Python programming and troubleshooting.
- Showcase excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Show familiarity with Operating Systems like Linux and Microsoft.
- Have experience with software version control using Git or SVN.
- Be familiar with software defect tracking systems such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
- Have experience with optical Ethernet/OTN test sets like EXFO, Viavi, and Ixia.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts, technologies, and solutions.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various functional groups.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
