Job Title: Development Team Lead - C#/.NetJob ID: KB222468711Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid/RemoteOverview:The Commodities Technology Group within our enterprise financial services client is responsible for the design, delivery, and maintenance for the end-to-end technology architecture supporting the Commodities business. Projects usually cover areas such as the onboarding of new clients or trader concepts, advancing/modernizing the technology architecture, building shared services, and technology process improvements. The Commodities Technology group is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to lead their Toronto-based Front Office Development Team and to contribute to .NET technology solutions utilized by Quants and Trading. What you will be doing:

• Manage a team of 3-5 developers, setting group and individual goals and delivering against business and technology objectives.
• Design and develop server-side data processing applications in .Net.
• Develop database schema objects in MS SQL 2016.
• Work with business users to understand requirements and implement them into clean technology solutions.
• Develop unit tests and work with the team to ensure all software is tested comprehensively.
• Participate in upgrading, regression testing and migrations.
• Document your work and provide handover to other developers or Production Support team.

What you must have:

• 5 – 7 years of extensive C#, .NET, SQL development experience with proven competence and knowledge in design and delivery of high-profile projects.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and designing database schemas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. This is a business-facing role.
• Good understanding of OOD principles and ability to write clear, maintainable code.

Nice to have:

• Capital Markets experience, especially in Commodities and understanding of Energy markets.
• Leadership / management experience
• Experience migrating .NET Framework projects to .NET Core.
• Containerization
• React.js, for potential work on web development projects
