Fire season is quickly approaching and it is expected to be a busy season.Are you looking for an exciting career as a Wildfire Medic or Driver?

Need your fire course's to be eligible for the season? Then come work with us and we will provide any additional training needed!

Wildfire personnel may/will be required to work long hours in challenging and changing conditions, such as high temperatures and steep terrain.

Medic Responsibilities include the use of skills and expertise to provide emergency response, medical assessment, primary health care, injury prevention, and coordinate emergency medical evacuations as needed. Keep medical equipment and unit clean and stocked. You will exercise independence, judgment and initiative by logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems that arise on site, maintaining patient care within your scope of practice.

Driver Responsibilities include utilizing the most expedient, safest route, safely transporting injured worker's and medical staff from pick-up point. Driving medics daily to their designated destinations. Conducts daily safety checks on vehicle(s), topping up vehicle fluids (e.g., gas and windshield wiper fluids etc.) in a timely manner. Liaise with nearby fire centres as needed and to coordinate patient care and transfers.Driver Requirements:OFA1 with Transportation Endorsement Class 5 drivers license and a clean (current) driver's abstractS100 or S100A and an S185Medic Requirements:OFA3 Certificate with a min 1 year experienceS100 or S100A and the S185Both Drivers and Medics must be able to complete a light fitness test.

Accommodations can vary: Camp, Hotel, Dorms.

Meal allowance paid when not in camp.

Rotation 2 weeks on 1 week off.
