Your responsibilities…
- Bring wireframes and UX designs to life with strong attention to detail and level of accuracy.
- Be an active participant in design discussions, with a good handle on common UX/UI patterns.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise, always ensuring there is a focus on minimizing solution complexity and reusability.
- Troubleshoot and debug our application as required and provide support to the team to do so.
- Operate as part of a self-starter and highly committed agile development team.
- Contribute your experience and best practices to the rest of the team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- 5-8+ years of software development experience.
- Extensive experience with Typescript, React and Redux - in particular, React 16.8+ APIs (hooks).
- Some experience with CSS & UI frameworks, ideally CSS-in-JS solutions (emotion, styled-components) or opinionated component libraries (Chakra UI, etc.).
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3, vanilla JavaScript (ES2015+), etc.
- Experience developing with NodeJS, ideally within a microservices architecture.
- Authentication/authorization and knowledge of front-end security principals (JWT, OAuth, CORS, etc.).
- Experience with mentoring developers.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Hands-on experience with mobile app development highly regarded, particularly React Native or iOS development with Swift and UIKit.
- Experience with CI/CD and test automation.
- Experience working with real-time interfaces (WebSocket).
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, especially when working with Gitlab Auto-DevOps and GKE.
- Postgres and Redis experience.
- A background in API design.
