SyBridge Technologies is seeking an Industrial Mechanic Apprentice. The Industrial Mechanic Apprentice is responsible for various duties with preference to troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities with specialization in industrial mechanical activities. Reporting to the Department Leader, the role ensures maximum, safe operational uptime for all machines, equipment, and facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain safe operations by keeping work areas clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on various machines, equipment, and facilities under the guidance and supervision of a certified technician.
  • Support the installation, maintenance and service of CNC machines, compressed air, water and exhaust duct work, pumps, presses, compressors, material-handling systems, gearboxes, fire suppression equipment and other machinery under the guidance and supervision of a certified technician.
  • Achieve scope of work in a manner that minimizes operations down time and is supportive of customer delivery requirements.
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts and historical maintenance activity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic means.
  • Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.
  • Actively engage in on-the-job training within the following areas
    • Reading and utilizing schematics, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and ladder logic drawings and diagrams.
    • Machine tools such as lathes and milling machines and fabrication tools such as welders, breaks, presses, power threaders and punches.
    • Test equipment, oscilloscope, multi meter, function generator, test fixtures, and sensors for predictive, preventive, and troubleshooting maintenance.
    • Precision tools such as laser alignment equipment, dial indicators, micrometers and precision and optical levels.
    • CNC Machine operation and troubleshooting techniques for OEMs such as DMG, FPT, Makino, Ona, Parpas, DMG, and Unisig.
    • CNC controller operation and troubleshooting techniques for OEMs such as Fanuc, Heidenhain, and Allen Bradley.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Requires training or familiarity with CNC, mechanic or other relevant trades skills; and must demonstrate a mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
  • Must be interested in enrolling in an industrial mechanic millwright (443A) accredited program
  • Experience operating CNC Machines is a plus.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
  • Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
  • Proficient in time management and communication skills.
