Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg's leader in Permanent Accounting & Finance Recruitment, has partnered with our client in Winnipeg to recruit a Senior Accountant become an active member of the team. The newly created Sr. Accountant position will report directly to the Finance Manager and should be intrinsically motivated and a hard worker who appreciates work autonomy.

Client offers an excellent CPA mentorship program for those who are pursuing their designation.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up accounts and balances in the accounting system
• Daily bank reconciliations of both US and CAD accounts to ensure accuracy
• Monthly account reconciliations and GL accounting
• General journal entries
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

Requirements:

4+ years minimum of relevant experience in full cycle accounting

• A degree or diploma in accounting or business administration (required)
• Currently in the CPA program (preferred)
• Experience with computerized accounting programs e.g. AccPac, Dynamics-Great Plains, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage and other ERP Systems
• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, amazing communication and people skills and must be highly organized.
