This is an occasional position with flexible hours ranging from 1 to 75 hours bi-weekly, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change in your community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports or case histories to track client progress.
  • Perform administrative tasks and manage office activities.
  • Implement life skills workshops to empower clients.
  • Refer offenders to community and social services programs.
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during challenging situations.
  • Assist clients with pre-release and release planning.
  • Maintain program statistics for evaluation and research purposes.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.

Work Environment

Qualifications

Education:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year in a related field.

Certifications:

  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
  • Mental Health First Aid Certificate
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • Cultural Awareness Training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
