About the Role

The Battlefords Treatment Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addictions Counsellor to join our team. In this permanent, full-time position, you will work 40 hours per week, providing essential support and guidance to clients on their journey to recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine client behavior and conduct interviews to prepare case histories and assess problems.
- Record observations and write progress reports to track client development.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Educate clients on health promotion, injury prevention, and management strategies.
- Provide individual and group therapy, applying psychological theories and principles.
- Implement counselling and intervention programs to help clients set and achieve their goals.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare assessment, progress, follow-up, and court reports.
- Assist clients in managing physical illnesses and disorders, and provide referrals to additional services.
