The Catering Expeditor/Admin assists the Catering Expeditor in the organization, gathering and packing of food and beverage orders in the OB Caters Kitchen. They will coordinate with the Logistics team to have the items delivered in a timely manner while ensuring that all products are packaged correctly and with care. Between deliveries, this role is also responsible in assisting in the next days preparations, maintaining disposable and beverage par stocks, as well as undertaking some administrative duties when required.
Note: This position is a part time role, requiring weekend availability, with the potential for more hours based on volume.
The Day to Day:
- Communicate with the Operations, Logistics and Culinary teams regarding delivery details, methods of packaging and timing inferences
- Receive, mark off and package orders and in a safe and timely manner
- Work with the Expeditor & Hospitality Manager on system efficiencies
- Confidently navigate and understand BEO's and production sheets
- Assist with the general day-to-day tasks as needed including cleaning & organising
- Assist in the expedition and delivery of orders within the building
- Understand food allergens and have a critical eye for signage/labels being sent out with deliveries
- Track incoming and outgoing internal small wares used for drop catering orders
- Follow Health & Safety regulations
- Additional duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
- Experience in catering and hospitality preferred
- Ability to lift 20kg with ease
- Ability to work on your feet for 6+ hours (majority of shift)
- Ability to take direction, multitask and work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Exceptional eye for detail
- Willingness to take on any task
- Ability to problem solve and adapt while maintaining O&B standards
- High critical thinker with strong verbal communication skills
- Valid G Drivers License an asset
- Criminal back ground check required
