JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you passionate about engineering excellence and driving innovation in complex projects? Join our Project Engineering team as a Project Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting Manufacturing Engineering for cutting-edge naval programs. This position is ideal for a systems thinker who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute assigned tasks, activities, and deliverables within the Engineering Group.
  • Develop plans, processes, and procedures to ensure successful achievement of project milestones.
  • Anticipate and manage risks, resolving challenges proactively to maintain project momentum.
  • Coordinate engineering activities to enable efficient delivery of project outputs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Degree in Engineering, Project Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Credentials: P. Eng or CET preferred; PMP and Lean Six Sigma certifications are assets.
  • Experience:
  • 4-6 years in Project Management or Engineering on large, complex defense or manufacturing projects.
  • Familiarity with project controls, performance management, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple organizations is an asset.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
