JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Project Manager, Platform Systems, will be primarily responsible for project management in-line with the four pillars of scope, schedule, cost and risk related to Platform Systems projects/initiatives. They will also contribute to developing, improving and validating plans, processes and policies needed to deliver River Class Destroyer Functional Engineering Scope. They will be expected to interface with all internal and external stakeholders on ways to improve platform delivery and work execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage performance of the Platform Systems Engineering delivery by leading regular stakeholder reviews (scope, cost, schedule, risk).
  • Ensure customer expectations are aligned and executed and manage external communication and reporting at Director level or equivalent
  • Manage critical project communications
  • Accountable for Platform Engineering Risk Management
  • Change Management: Interface with the enterprise to manage change that impacts the Platform Systems
  • Manage planned and emergent work within their assigned job scope.
  • Accountable for the Program execution of the Project Management Plan and Operating Plan

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent
  • MBA, MASc, or equivalent an asset
  • 10+ years in shipbuilding or warship operations
  • Formal Project Management Qualification (preferred)
  • Program Delivery Knowledge regarding, Budget Management, Risk Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Change Management, Project Management, Reporting and Metrics.
