- Maintain the Oromocto VIC with a complete supply of brochures, pamphlets, maps & other material necessary to operate effectively
- Develop a training week and in-service training opportunities
- Maintain a daily record of the number of visitors
- Ensure that staff maintain the general cleanliness of the VIC
- Attend any training seminars
- Liaise with local industry partners & ensure literature distribution
- Maintain literature kiosks
- Create and maintain a 4-person shift schedule
- Facilitate the delivery of the Department of Tourism & Parks Operator Self-Service & Intercept Programme service
- Develop a month-end & season-end report
- Assist with program offerings & special events
- Assist with the planning & offering of the 55+ Summer Club
- Complete training to lead educational nature sessions
- Provide support to community events & activities
- Assist with the weekly Summer Concert Series
- Assist with Age-Friendly Community initiatives

A candidate (student) must:
- Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
- Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
- NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
- Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
- Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
